Davide A. Pedrazzini (Lodi [Italy], 1981) is a composer and conductor specializing in wind band repertoire. Winner of several national and international composition contests, in 2023 he was awarded the Grand Prize and an additional First Prize at the Grand Mesa Young Band Composition Contest (Colorado, USA). Several of his works for band and orchestra are included in the prestigious Editors’ Choice selection by J.W. Pepper. He is also the only Italian composer to have works selected in Prescribed Music List (PML) of the UIL, Texas, a major reference for band and school music programs in the United States.
He graduated in Composition and Arranging for Band, and studied conducting with renowned teachers such as José Rafael Pascual Vilaplana, Lorenzo Della Fonte, and Angelo Bolciaghi. His works are published by international music publishers, including Alfred Music (USA), Grand Mesa Strings (USA), Grand Mesa Music Publishers (USA), Leading Tones Music (USA), Baton Music (NL), AM Music Publishing (NL), Tierolff Muziekcentrale (NL), and have been performed in major venues and events, such as the Midwest Clinic in Chicago.
He has taught Elements of Composition for Music Education at the Conservatory of Livorno and currently teaches Arranging, Composition and Conducting for Band at the Conservatory of Udine.
